So my sister (who is a teacher) called me this morning and told me to check the internet for news about a senior prank done at a high school in Orlando, FL where she lives and I used to. She gave me the name of the school (Cypress Creek High School) and I typed it into google. I expected the sites to be Orlando based. Their newspapers and news broadcasts. The first site that popped up was from the BBC. *laughing* I can just imagine the British watching the prank shaking their heads thinking that us Americans are crazy as hell. (Which I don't deny). *laughing* Anyway here is the link to the BBC article: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8014324.stm

And here is the link to the video of the actual prank:

I seriously have a brown thumb when it comes to planting/plants, but while my niece and nephews were here for spring break/Easter vacation we planted some herb seeds (chives and sweet basil). I didn't think anything would happen because the fates seemed to stack against the little seeds. First the planter got knocked over when the kids were playing then we had that horrible storm, where I was sure the seeds would have been washed clear out of the dirt...but they weren't and now I have little buds growing. *grin* I'm looking into planting some other herbs and veggies (maybe some fruits) as well, but I really want to make sure these grow before I spend a lot of money.

Anyway: HERBS!!!!

I found some great Jacob/Bella fiction. Some of the writers that write fan fiction are blowing me away and making the book seem even more dull. Of course the more I read Eclipse, the more unhappy it makes me. I feel like I did reading Twilight all over again. If I could explain it, it would be... It's like I'm chewing on gum that's been in my mouth too long. It's there moving in my mouth but I don't like it and yet can't stop gnawing on it. *laughing* There's a visual for you. *laughing* I don't think it helps that I know the end. I know Jacob gets destroyed for Bella and Edward's "epic" love. I know where SMeyer takes "Breaking Dawn" and I'm not sure I even want to continue when fanfiction is so much better.

Speaking of fanfiction: I was twisting over a oneshot in my head last night, but it's not been written. It would be something completely different than anything I've written before. The Jacob/Bella fiction writers have really recharged my batteries. Like I said some are so talented that I read their stuff going, "wow, I really suck compared to this" and that makes me want to work harder to be better than my "eh" self.  It's always nice to read someone elses writings because when they are great at forming a story, I get envious then write like a woman possessed...yes, I realize I'm a weirdo. *laughing*

I had to go get my Driver's License updated before my birthday which is *mumbles* and man I hate getting my picture taken. First of all, the bells palsy makes me look deformed. Second of all the license pictures always look really bad. I don't care how much time and energy you put into your appearance: it always looks funky...at least mine always does. Third of all: It's orange-y. I get it's FL but I don't look good in orange. It's not my color at all. As if that trauma wasn't bad enough, the place I went to doesn't take Visa. (Which is all I have) They take Master Card, American Express and Discover, but not Visa...uh, what? Seriously? *sigh*

Okay that's all. *laughing* How was your day?

So I haven't been around for the past couple of days and I'm so sorry about that. I wasn't ducking the internet or anything. We had another really bad storm, this one so bad that everything in our house went out. We lost cable, electricity and our phone line Monday.  Electricity came back extremely quickly. We had it that night. Cable came back the next day but our phone line was out for the longest. This is what happens when A) you live in Florida during storm season, B) live in a small town and C) have no way of hijacking someone else's net because everyone is really busy. *laughing* We are finally up and running again. *is thanking God in my mind as I type* Or we are until the next horrible storm. *rolls eyes*

My brain is still not functioning on all cyclinders it seems. (*looks at screen* No, snickering from Twinnie or others please) I've been extremely busy getting ready for the Easter fun that is about to begin at my house and with my nieces and nephews here I barely have time to relax, let alone have two hours to actually form a story. *sigh* This year in the battle between Lent vs my fiction brain...Lent is the victor. *laughing* I will say that SR is still turning in my head and even though I didn't finish the story between the Lent deadline, it will be finished before I jump too far. I want Rocky and Ashlee, Buzz and Doris, Daisy and Nate to have closure. I also plan to finish "Promise". (Yes I know I've said that in the past, but I mean it) As crazy as if is, "Promise" is coming up on it's one year anniversary. I have lived with all those characters and that situation for almost a year. That is insane to me, because when I started it, I never imagined it would mean much to anyone. --Let alone spawn three one-shots and 30+ chapters.

In Movie news: I have watched four movies in the past couple of weeks...besides Twilight, but I've already given my view of that. Here is my thoughts on them.

Repo: A Rock Opera- The summary is: A virus/illness has taken hold of the human population. Repo: A Rock opera )
Max Payne: Summary: A police officer tries to find out who killed his wife and why she had to die. Movie based off a video game of the same name. Max Payne )
Yes Man: Summary: A man that has spent years saying no to every opportunity decides to follow a program that forces him to say Yes to everything. Yes Man )
Bedtime Stories: Summary: A man that has worked in and lived in a hotel his entire life has to take care of his sister's kids for a week. Every night he tells them a bedtime story and magic happens the following day. Bedtime Stories )

Okay I think that's enough rambling for one day. I need to go back to Twilight... *sigh* and hopefully finish this book... hopefully

So here I am. I've made a deal with myself to finish Twilight and I'm almost three fourths of the way done, but I can't get passed the  weird, unhealthy relationship the writer is building for  the characters "Bella" and "Edward". It just seems...disturbing.

Cut for Spoilers of the movie and what I've read of the book

Meanwhile, as GL slowly improves (what the fuck? Improves, seriously?), their numbers have stunningly dropped over the past two weeks. Nothing major, but with all the media hoopla surrounding Grant Aleksander’s (Phillip) return, this is further evidence that the marketing, advertising and publicity wing of TeleNext have no clue what they’re doing. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I highly doubt GL is going to attract new or lapsed viewers with that production model. Just say, you’re sorry, Ellen — and return GL back to the studio, STAT!

Here are the numbers courtesy of Soap Opera Network:

(Compared to Last Week/Compared to Last Year)
Total Viewers
1. Y&R 5,280,000 (-177,000/-508,000)
2. B&B 3,367,000 (-206,000/-794,000)
3. DAYS 2,905,000 (-112,000/+6,000)
4. GH 2,687,000 (-114,000/-328,000)
5. AMC 2,634,000 (-95,000/+46,000)
6. OLTL 2,594,000 (+34,000/same)
7. ATWT 2,531,000 (-32,000/-803,000)
8. GL 2,077,000 (-98,000/-665,000)

Is it wrong that I find this HILARIOUS? *giggle* If only they would LISTEN to the FANS, maybe the show wouldn't be in the toliet right now. I still feel sorry for the cast and crew though. Please, ya'll, start looking for other jobs..."just in case".
